Yes it will produce results that are good enough for screen viewing but it won't be great if you want Silvercdest print at anything above A4 size and even at A4 it won't be as good as a 'proper' scanner negatve even a half decent flatbed scanner. The resolution is just not good enough and it doesn't so much as scan line by line as just takes a photo of an illuminated slide. This means that the stated resolution of 3600 dpi is pretty meaningless as it won't achieve anything like it.
